CAPABILITIES
Engineering a mold that fits the part
From mold design and manufacture to plastic part production and LSR services, define the scope your project needs.

DESIGN
Mold Design & Engineering
Start with the part, its material and how it will be used.
Define the tooling approach
Review part geometry, assembly interfaces and appearance requirements. Develop the mold layout with attention to the parting line, gating, cooling and ejection approach. Filling analysis can support the design discussion.
Agree the analysis scope and design documents for each project.

MANUFACTURING
Injection Mold Manufacturing
Translate the agreed mold design into machined components and an assembled tool.

CNC machining
Machine the steel components that form and support the molded part.

EDM
Produce mold features using electrical discharge machining.

Mold assembly
Fit the components and check the mechanism before trial.
VALIDATION
Mold Trial & Quality Validation
Use the trial to review the mold and resulting samples.

Review against agreed requirements
Trial samples support discussion of dimensions, visible surfaces and mold operation. Record the issues to address and agree the next adjustment or approval step.
Our quality management system is ISO 9001 certified. Inspection scope and acceptance criteria are defined for the project.

PRODUCTION
Production Injection Molding
Continue from tooling into the production of plastic parts.
Plan the part as well as the tool
DFMOLD HK provides production injection molding. Share the intended resin, drawings, quantities, appearance requirements and assembly needs so the production scope can be reviewed.

LSR
LSR Services
Discuss the tooling and molding requirements of your liquid silicone rubber component.

Start with the component requirements
LSR services are part of our business. Share the part drawing, intended material grade, application, quantity and acceptance requirements to establish the project scope.
Material, surface, dimensional and process requirements are reviewed for the individual component.
Delivery and support
Indicative lead times
Simple molds may require 20–30 days; complex molds, including multi-cavity or high-precision tooling, may require 55–90 days.
Two-year mold warranty
The applicable warranty scope and terms are agreed for the project.
Overseas on-site support
On-site support is available overseas. Agree the location and support arrangements for your project.
Discuss your next project
Share your part application, material and production needs.
